Q. If you were marooned on a desolate island what things could you not do without?
A. Music , My Roller Skates and a good woman .

Q. How long have you been doing Rock n Roll and what does ,`The Paradise Rockers` and the `Lakeside Rockers` mean to you?.
A. I have been dancing for about 18 years , My history also consists of 1 year of Jazz Ballet- Competing. 2 years Judo/Self Defence - Competing and helping instruct and 5 years Roller Skating -Competing and teaching. I started Rock and Roll when a group of us Roller skaters went out to check out a Rock n Roll dancing club and it went from there. I had 2 years with Top Kiwi dance instructor Jeanette McGuliveray. While in New Zealand I participated in the forming of 2 Rock n Roll clubs , Rosetown and Gracelands. In March 1989 I moved to Australia and the Gold Coast, and as there wasn't any Rock n Roll to be found we formed the teaching side of Paradise Rockers, I continued to teach myself moves using video material and basically changing it. Two years later the club ` The Paradise Rockers` was officially formed..
To me the `Lakeside Rockers` are an extension of the Paradise Rockers History , an extension of the leg . They are direct descendants. C.J and the Babe had their beginnings with us .The clubs represent a whole strand of people with the same interests, going out and having fun . Promoting Rock 'n' Roll,  to hell with politics.

Q. If you could improve Rock and Roll clubs what would be your suggestions?
A. One rule for all. Keep neutral mediators and Kick Politics out.

Q. What is your favourite Rock n Roll song ?
A. I don't have a favourite. I like Elvis. For the fun aspect I like `Grease`.

Q. Is there a particular dance move you like or dislike ?
A. I like the American spin drop . I hate basics - left and right turns.

Q. Have you any interests apart from Rock and Roll dancing ?
A. Roller skating and collecting attractive Tropical fish. I have one favourite - a black Ghost Knife fish called Ghosty.

Q. Have you some Goal. Special achievement or Experience you may like to share with us ?.
A. Goal - to be rich and Happy.  A special achievement for me was to be able to Glide when in Roller Skating Championships ( Gliding - Arch backwards on one foot ) It took a lot of practice, 5 years . I'm one of the
very few who can do it .
An experience was abseiling down a waterfall in the Army. Also War games in the snow in the Army, you are out there by yourself in the dark in the freezing snow ,looking for a make believe enemy. Another great experience was Black water rafting . You get in a wetsuit with a tyre tube and miners helmet with a light and you float throughout the underground caves in Waitomo glow worm caves in New Zealand.

Q. Which two public figures , past or present do you most admire and what is your philosophy on life ?.
A. Englishman Syd Cooper - World multiple Roller Skating Champion and Wally van Erven - Judo Instructor , Multiple World Champion.
My philosophy on life is `Live life to the max for life is too short to stuff around. Make do with what you have and have a good time`. also ` Do
unto others as you would have them do unto you ` !.
